Motivity is proud to announce Dr. Ellie Kazemi as the inaugural member of its Scientific Advisory Board, marking an important milestone in the company’s next stage of clinical and operational growth. Dr. Kazemi brings deep expertise in outcomes science, value-based care, and the strategic application of technology in behavioral health. Her appointment reflects Motivity’s commitment to research-driven innovation, field-informed design, and supporting providers under increasing operational pressures.
In her role as Lead Advisor, Dr. Kazemi will guide the formation and direction of Motivity’s Advisory Board. She will provide insight on advisor composition, strategic priorities, and ways to incorporate diverse expert perspectives. Additionally, she will participate in industry forums and professional dialogue, helping inform Motivity’s innovation roadmap, adoption strategy, and long-term relevance. Her leadership ensures that expert perspectives are integrated into ongoing discussions, shaping tools and solutions that reflect real-world clinical and operational needs.
Why the Scientific Advisory Board Was Created
Motivity is expanding quickly and aims to ensure its growth aligns with client requirements and insights. The advisory board was created because Motivity values client feedback and is committed to preserving the essence of what makes the platform unique.
This Scientific Advisory Board will be made up of people who deeply understand ABA, operations, payor dynamics, and outcomes. They offer a professional perspective on product direction, outcomes and data integrity, regulatory trends, and the broader challenges facing behavioral health organizations. The board will hold semi-annual meetings as well as focused workgroups throughout the year, helping to guide the roadmap and offering early feedback on new capabilities.
A Message from our CEO
“As we scale, our commitment to listening to our customers remains at the center of everything we do,” said Smith Anderson, CEO of Motivity. “Behavioral health providers are navigating workforce shortages, payer complexity, and growing demand for care, and we understand the pressures that come with it. This advisory board ensures that our growth is guided by the real needs of providers, so we can build solutions that make their work more efficient, support better outcomes, and uphold the quality and integrity that defines Motivity.”
A Message from our Chief Clinical Officer
“Growth only matters if it strengthens clinical quality and supports the people delivering care,” said Emaley McCulloch, Chief Clinical Officer at Motivity. “Clinicians today are balancing ethical responsibility, data integrity, and increasing administrative pressure – all while staying focused on client progress. The Scientific Advisory Board gives us direct, ongoing insight from the field, so the tools we build support sound clinical decision-making, reduce unnecessary burden, and stay aligned with how ABA is actually practiced.”
Looking Ahead
Motivity’s vision is simple: to be the go-to data collection and practice management solution that leads with research-driven innovation, delivers with compassion, and creates lasting value for every individual we impact. This advisory board ensures that Motivity continues building tools with the deepest expertise behind them, and with the same partnership mindset customers experience every day.
Motivity will continue evolving the advisory board over time and welcomes interest from providers who want to contribute their expertise and help shape the future of the platform.
A Message from Dr. Ellie Kazemi
“Motivity stood out to me as a platform grounded in the real work of clinicians, with a clear commitment to quality through individualized data collection rather than one-size-fits-all solutions,” said Dr. Kazemi. “Its receipt of over $11 million in NSF funding underscores its investment in building thoughtfully, with rigor, and long-term impact at the center. Serving as the lead advisor feels less like endorsement and more like stewardship, helping ensure growth remains field-informed as Motivity scales.”
